I started recording a new record this year. In a church, at weekends. But I move to Norway tomorrow, and the gear can’t go with me. It’ll have to sit a while.
Like the Lake - Tisso Lake from 2008. Found on a long forgotten old reel.
Tissø Lake Records
Both “official” titles, and a live set by Tissø Lake are now available to download/mailorder from this bandcamp page.
This includes the often hard-to-track-down Hollow Wood and Wondrous Cold CD, which is available again now in its original form with two bonus mp3 tracks. (Thank you Ruby).

Ian Humberstone: Clock, Clarinet, Drums, Electric Organ, Tape Echo. Malcolm Benzie: Violin. Recorded on four-track cassette in Edinburgh, June 2011. Released as one side of Devon Folklore Tapes Vol.1 “Two Witches”, in association with Finders Keepers records.
Devon Folklore Tapes is an ongoing music series, in which the folklore of Devon is documented through original compositions. Each volume deals with a particular theme, which is researched by the contributing artists and soundtracked, with the finished compositions then released as split cassette tapes housed in bespoke books.
This first volume is released with David Chatton Barker’s “Songs for Hannah Henley” on the flip side. You can read more about the project and follow our progress with the creation of volume one here.
